Sealfie at Web Summit 2023

Inkan.link joined the Startup Alpha programme at Web Summit 2023, held in Lisbon from 13 to 16 November. We presented Sealfie there, our mechanism for protecting payment approvals against deepfakes.

What we were presenting

The subject was still emerging in the autumn of 2023: few companies expected then that an entire video call could be faked. The months that followed gave the documented cases their weight, starting with the 25 million dollar attack on the Arup group.

Being part of the programme let us set out what sets our approach apart: give up on recognising the fake, and make the requester’s identity verifiable at the moment of decision.
